Genius Behind the Sin City Movie and Books Interviewed on The Treatment

One of our favorite film critics is Elvis Mitchell, formerly of the New York Times, and now, among other things, host of the radio program The Treatment. Every week Mitchell has an in-depth conversational interview with A-List actors, directors and producers from film, television and theater.
Produced by legendary LA radio station KCRW Santa Monica, The Treatment is a nationally syndicated show on NPR, and now with the Internet, which KCRW has been a pioneer in using, and podcasting, the show has a global and more portable reach, ready for download to your iPod or other MP3 player.
But we're not here to tell you about the show, as much as we're here to tell you about last week's episode of The Treatment, in which Mitchell interviewed Frank Miller, the genius behind the Sin City graphic novels and director (along with Robert Rodriguez) of the Sin City film.
In his conversation with Elvis Mitchell, Miller talks about his experience directing for the first time and working with actors such as Mickey Roarke, Bruce Willis and -- Miller's favorite -- Devon Aoki. He also talks about the process behind translating Sin City from the graphic novels to celluloid, or rather, to digital video, the medium Rodriguez prefers to actual film. Miller is a bit of a character, but he comes acorss engaging, friendly, personable and passionate about his work and his commitment to maintaining the creative integrity of his creations.
