Spiewak - The Last Word in the Hipster Parka

spiewak.jpg

It's fall, finally. It could have come sooner; this past summer was one of the longer, hotter and more humid seasons on recent memory. And now that it's really gettin' chilly-chill, we've realized that a marrow-freezing, blizzard-filled winter is just around the corner. Yup, time for a new coat. But not just any wool full-length will do. Not after the last two brutal New York City winters. This year we're updating the winter wardrobe with a heavy-duty parka. We've had our eye on this Spiewak parka for a while. Once we put it on, the deal was sealed. It's warm, thick and it comes with a fur-lined hood. This thing is good enough for arctic conditions. And since one of our friends has now convinced us that Iceland is worth it as a bona fide travel destination, we will REALLY NEED this parka. (Sure, we're rationalizing the expenditure.) Spiewak makes tons of different heavy-duty parkas and coats. And Spiewak being an ol' skool NYC brand, we're happy to spread the wealth in our adopted home.
