Theory Jeans Rule in Summer '05

theoryjeans.jpg

k, dudes. We were hanging in Soho last weekend. Our routine, what we call "shops and stops." Visits to a dozen or so shops, stops for coffee at Brown cafe or email checks at the Apple Store. Anyhoo, we went into the Bloomingdales on lower Broadway, which has like the best-edited selection of clothes and gear, after Barney's, in all of Manhattan. There we came across a pair of Theory jeans. Theory Clothing is a brand on fire right now. It's now probably our favorite designer at the moment. The Japanese are going crazy over Theory, so there must be something to what the designers at Theory are doing. So we bought these classic pair called the Indigo Knut Oklahoma Jean. The fit was right. The look was right. So even though they're like $165 bucks, we just bought 'em. (K, we admit, this is not the most we've paid for jeans -- we shelled out over $200 for a pair by A.P.C. a couple of years ago.) Be warned, though, if you pick up a pair you've got to wash them first, or else the indigo dye will rub off and appear on lighter colored clothing. And remember to wash them separately. We found these at Bloomingdales in New York, but not online at the the store's website. So below is a link to a page with the Theory jeans on the Neiman-Marcus site.
